
Exercise during pregnancy?
Hi! I’m not sure if this should go in the pregnancy section or the health and fitness section, but I’ll try here first. I’m not pregnant, but just curious for the future. Is it safe to do light jogging while you are pregnant? If it is, for how many months into the pregnancy can you continue? What low-impact cardio exercises are recommended into pregnancy, and which should you avoid? Thanks!
Well, if you’ve been exercising prior to pregnancy, continue on if you’re having a healthy pregnancy.
If you’ve not been exercising all this while but want to now even while pregnant, go ahead if you’re healthy and in superb form to exercise.
It’s safe to do light jogging but not recommended when in advanced stage of pregnancy (like in the 3rd trimester).
Walking is the best for all stages of pregnancy because it’s low impact so it won’t affect the fetus.
Avoid all those exercises that are dangerous, that need high degree of balance and coordination.
