Fitness issues!?
1. When is the correct time to eat? Before/after you exercise? And how much time should pass between your meal and your exercise?
2. Inhaling goes with the contraction or relaxation of the muscles?
3. When I do my ab crunches, I seem to work my neck muscles more than my abs. Any suggestions not involving special equipments?

1. You want a small liquid meal, before you exercise. (you need a steady stream of protein and carbs, so your body will not catabolize muscle tissue, while you are training)
To make it simple, a small glass of milk (8oz, 30 minutes before) will do.
You need immediate nutrition post-workout, you need simple carbs, and fast acting proteins, (Try some cereal with “Whey Protein”)
2. Exhale when you move the weight and contract, and inhale when you bring it back.
3. You need to mentally focus on your abs when you do them, you are straining to much, it is very easy to get the stimulus in your front neck muscles.
Try using a small weight on your chest.
